As a result of an awesome speech by my daughter's class of 2013 valedictorian from Blythewood High school, I have recently discovered as I embark on a new career I too like the class of 2013 am having to recreate myself. I have to develop who I am to others along with my value system. Not really something you think you should have to do after 40 years of life but here we are, "trying something new and different". Its exciting but a bit scary because they don't know who you are and what you have to offer. So let's get it and let's go with confidence that life has been your experience that a degree doesn't really prepare you for. I have learned, a degree helps but on the job training gives you so much more.
